I received many cards during this festival, there are from different countries,oh I feel so special this year..

Last week my friend groovy boy came and visit us for few days, I'm asked to spent my sleeping, playing and eating time together with him. My master like a dog walker with 3 dogs on 2 hands, here some photos took during the special season happen on my home :

We getting along after 1st night, no doubt we have different height, different size, and different look..

We having meal time together, but I still like to have it with Peony because after he not finish I can have it all myself..

This year we have many gifts, groovemaster kind enough bring us many treats and gift from oversea, I love the big bone most but my master say she likes the lid cover the most, we told after the Christmas only we can open the gift, but I have special pass I can hv my big bone now.

This Year we have a special Christmas and here we wish all doggies around the world : Merry Christmas!

today is Pet n You 1 yrs old Birthday, Couldn't believe I am older than them! Very well organize event and many new games for us to try out. Thank you groovemaster putting so much effort and make it a real success.

Hey, this round I manage to catch few rounds frisbee but not very obvious to the crowd as I need to do this far far away from them, I am camera shy.. haha

Okay, flyball one round too, that's all.. but guess what, I can't believe I can jump quite far during one of the broad jumps try out game! Gosshh, my owner will ask me jump n jump again if there's similar game for the next event.. I forget my rule, but not to worry, I remember after that so I pretend I am extremely tired and no mod, just like dog right finish swim hundred laps. Okay, I won - I can just rest there and enjoy the rest of the day, enjoy to view others working hard to show me their tricks.

My playmate Pacco this round score A's on her report card, Champion Broad Jump! Don't play play .. : We re mutts; we are smart! Also a 2nd runner sniff out her favourate treats.

Groovy was fully book on many demo, heel work to music, flyball, agility, 20 poles weaving, frisbee.. you name it, he gots it. Good work, groove~
My brother getting smarter he's on the way to join my resting gang. My owner soon will give up and we will be YahOoooo.. since he is the only male dog in my house, he needs to work for living, he earn me some living. So today I can just be his hurdle and let him jump over.

Ger Ger (Feichai/Feipoh) : She is a big sisters among others, the most beautiful and the cutest. Now, a grown up lady, clean and cheerful living with 8 hamsters as her playmates. Let's look back..

(Right) I am a cheerful fully gown up lady now. Mutts smiling faces definately the most beautiful.

Mix (Puppy) : She is the most difficult among others to get herself a shelter, uncountable times of re-home. Finally, she gets a shelter now as a watch dog. Thank you Ngao Ngao & Julie for their patient and Kindly help.

Dhusty : The most cheerful pup and now still jumping up and down never feel tired. Happy to see Dhusty had change the current owners lazy habit and now every day evening walk easily won't less than an hour. Neighbourhood all love him just because he keeps on smiling, a famous star in his kampong.

(Left) Do I look like beagle .. ? well, it doesn't matter, I am more active than a beagle for sure..

Jojo Fun Outings Part V - Nostalgia : Doggie events in town!

Some of the events I had attended in past few years...

Year 2005 UPM Dogathon (07-08-05):

An exciting yearly event by UPM in Serdang, Selangor. My second attend to this event; for sure I am truly enjoyed in this event! Most unforgetable memory was: first time I saw huge horse! I never thought of besides dogs and human there are horse too, no wonder they said everyday you are learning something.

I was invited to step up the winning stage as well; I won the fastest eating 2nd place and top 10 best tricks.

There are many fun games to join in as well; my owner told me this is part of the charity event. I am happy besides can have fun and I am contributing something to the society as well.

Pets and You Open Day (21-08-05):

An opening day by a local training school. Many interesting new games they organized especially the recall jump over the hurdles. I am surprise to see there re many kids can handle our dogs so well, I enjoyed many great demo as well.

I joined in few games as usual, there are many well trained dogs I met here, even I run like mad dog during the recall, I didn’t get any placing. It doesn’t matter, I enjoy very much on others games.

Probably the crowd was too excited, I am a little nervous by their hand clapping sounds. So, my owners bring me to another end to try out some of the agility equipments by the school. This was also the first time I tried the real equipments, that is so cool! After few tried I am managed to go trough the collapsing tunnel, my owner was very happy. They can easily cheer up by small little things just like a big baby.
However I never thought of one day this ground can become my weekly playground. Hopefully this doggie enclosed park can last forever.
Petsafari Treasure Hunt (Round 1) 04-09-05:

I was invited to join the Petsafari Treasure Hunt on 04-09-05, something totally new to me. I am asked to tag along my owner to search everything they asked.

I am very excited and I pull my owner all the way hoping she can run a little bit faster, she looks very serious and nervous. I am comforting her: Don't worry let me handle this. So, I eat whatever she can't finish on each station, and pointing everywhere commands her to search. She disappointed me, she not really high IQ as me no doubt I am wearing Number 8 thought of bringing some luck for her...

Anyway, I have fun because can window shop around the complex while she doing the job.

Malaysia Responsible Dog Ownership Day (11-09-05):

I am trying to accompany my owners to attend their moral class this day. They help us educate the human how to take better care of us - dogs.

Since the responsible is not fall on me, I putting myself having fun in all the games. To surprise my owner, I won the down stay top 3. Okay, one will do. You can't perform all the times; they will just ask you repeat the task again if they know you can do it.

There are many top dogs demo you can see during this day. We don't have doctor and lawyer but we have Bomba dogs, police dogs, guard dogs - those professional all are my idols, most important: they enjoy the work and appreciate their job very much, because I never see any of them complaints. We - dogs: Never complaints. I met many new friends this day...

PetsUnite Halloween Party (04-09-05):

Sometimes my owners very 'ang moh’, she likes to try everything. I heard there is once one of her oversea pen pal show her some Halloween costume, she was crazy and curious into this 'Halloween' and she suggested the party to be on for all dog lovers, lucky her, there are some friends crazy like her... so, then here we go: a first Halloween party for all dogs and human.

I think she was too free. She sews each of us a new dress with a devil head onto it: she said that is pumpkin. I am not sure what is that for, no one scare of it as well, she just cartoon sometimes. The party was in an indoor dog park, but it was closed down for other purposes now.

I just miss the place so much... I went to this place few times for my agility fun session before it closed down. I am sure everybody have a good time that night...

Jojo Fun Outing Part IV - Rainny Days are fun..

I am a Kampong (Village) mutt, I play cheap games. Human does the same, I were being told they even fishing in the Longkang (Drain) during their childhood. Only different, We - mutts, can still enjoy our fun in our doghood, human can't.. or they won't.. or they shy.. whatever.. I don't care, that's me, I do what I like.. my day always bright.

I did all those in my puppyhood and I repeat it over and over again now. Hey, not I want okay, I have no choice, because I can't find any snow here...

You can see rainbow once a while, my owners told me if you smile u can see rainbow, if you cry u will hear thunder..I have to keep on smiling.. I don't like the sky sing.

There are too much fun during rainny days; you can run like no head chicken and use your powerful brake pad to splash all the water onto your owners; you can even play flyball in the rain, that is so much.

Rainny days also is the time my owners will stop sitting in front of the silly computer or tv box and spent good time with us. After the run and bath time, I am really enjoy the windy cooling night curling myself and sleep well.

Jojo Fun outing part III - Mud

Oh, I luv mud, I think all dogs do. Agreed? I just know it.. sometimes when my owners lazy to walk us, we will be free to run on some mud spots found on my area, each time after the session they even need to do more to clean us up.. well, that is human. Okay, let's not worry about that, not my problems, I just know mud theraphy is good for my skin. Run is even good for my health. Most important, it's FUN!

Here's one of my recent mud play spot, a place with some ponds that my brother always fall inside, I think he has eye sight problem.

Here another earlier spot we use to play, but now I found it grow some building instead of grass.

Sometimes too muddy I will do some sand bath before head home, but my brother never know how to do it, he still need people to bath him.. big baby boy.

I hope next dogathon they should come up mud run instead of road run, I am more up for that..

Jojo fun outing part II - Pet N U

"I am asked to join the down stay together with others big size friends"

Every saturday when others busy on shopping; I am busy playing in an indoor park by a dog training sch - Pet N U. I enjoy the session very much; as it is not too crowded, everybody can play on the equipments. My sporting owner won't let go any chances and I am asked to do flyball, agility, frisbee, obedient.. and.. whatever can come into her minds.

Well, it doesn't matter, because I got my favourate treats for simple move.. You stand - reward, you sit - reward, you smile - reward.. life is so perfect.

I like to run far far away from the crowd ;sniff around and check out the ground on the other end. I wonder if Fei like to run like me as well? If so, should join the coming Bull run 06'

Besides that, I m also enjoy find myself a favourate spot under the shade and resting there while the human enjoying their nasi lemak and chit chat non stop at the other end. Are they chatting what treats they going to rewards me for the next session? I wonder..

I remember I read somewhere : talented dogs always hide their talent. If you compare myself with my IQ zero brother, you can see the different: if you show your talent you will asked to run up and down the obstacles before you can get your treats, myself? just go tru a see saw will get the same equal amount of treat. Keep this secret to yourself.

Dogathon 06'

I was woke up early in the morning to join the Yearly Dogathon (13-08-06) in Bukit Serdang by UPM. Right before I step in the ground, my playmates Groovy and Pacco already won the Dogathon first runner up and consolation prize. Incredible man..

I was invited to do some frisbee demo and flyball demo among the crowd. I pull myself for the frisbee after irritate by the crowd clapping sounds, but manage to run few round of flyball demo.

It's a hot sunny day, my sporting owner registered me into some games and I doing well during the musical chair game, if not because of her XXL butts, I would have just add in the winner list..

They said mongrel can be an idol too, so I am asked to do some roll over among the crowd, peoply are just kind enough to cheer me up even just a single roll over.. can you see the good being a mongrel.

I just very confuse this year I didn't invite to step up the stage yet I was invited to join in the winners group pictures and go home with many gifts and some prizes. Everybody smiling faces, hmmmm, not too bad...I must not miss the next coming dogathon then.

Jojo : My Oversea Friends!!

Fei, I am asked to work tonight because my owner want to show you my costume..

I am decided to dedicate this page to all my friends over the world. Thank you for all their support to a Cool Mongrel like me.. Ahem... and those of you happen to read my page, please pay a visit to their cool blogs, you will find so many cool mutts & cool doggie all over the world.

Fei was adopted on April 6 2006. She was found in an industrial park together with her sister. Don't get cheated by the word "Adopted" , Fei is one the luckiest Mutt with title Managing Director travel around the world with no worries.

Her schedule is fully book up to year 2007, that is, she will then travel to Japan (Tokyo) with her lovely owners. Now currently Fei is enjoying herself in Singapore fully entertained by visiting the beautiful clean beach there and sit at the cafe take a sip of coffee with her owners. It is just matter of time she will pick up Golf one day with other cool mutts.

MoonShadow is a giant, silver, standard poodle currently live in Grand Junction Colorado. Again, Moonshadow having a good life now after join in her family in Colorado. She loves water, as much as my brother. Well, I totally understand this, I know she will be hot with such a thick fur jacket putting on her everyday. I felt I am so lucky now as my country don't have winter time we no need to wear such a thick winter coat.

Different activities happen on her side, she got the chance to chase the cow, play with the sheep, and say hi to the piggie. She loves playing in the farm; she is a real country dog!

Sam was all the way from Maryland, United States. She is a Weimaraner Love to go for long rides with the windows down. Don't she looks cool? If you are frequently philosophical, her blog is the right place for you.

Mary-Margaret O'Brien was adopted on 11/25/05. A cuttie terrier from Temecula, California, United States. Mary share with us her daily life, it was so much fun reading her blog, oh ya, I am still wonder how come she will fall in love with Sandy, during her puppyhood. Probably that is puppy love.. it's just so lucky Sandy still taller than her.

Gifts Collection Corner

I think after you have been 'tagged' by someone you need to write down 5 items..?? May be I choose to write down 5 special gifts I rewarded from my owner, I would like to put down here and share with u guys..

1) My very own portrait from Aunty Suzi. They say only famous people will have their own portrait.. well..Ahem.. my owner so proud of it, she hang it in the living room for 'decoration'.

2) My Paw Bandana, can you see my avarta, is the bandana cool? It is hand made, my owner sew it for me after she watch the k9Apendix Ad and love the design so much, but too bad I already destroy it. lol

3) My only costume - Contractor. Please don't laugh at me, I know I look like cartoon. But this costume is hand made by my owner and it tooks her quite some time special sew for me.. one and only design in universal..

4) Kong - My owner hardly spend so much on a toy, and she bought this only for ME!! But I hardly play on it right now because it 's kinda easy to get the treat inside..

5) Imported Frisbee - She told me this frisbee imported from Germany. I don't know.. but I appreciate it, another toy only for ME!! ;) hey this frisbee cool, it can fly further..haha

My Brother - Peony the Storm Rider @ Russell boy

My brother joined in my family after 6 mths later, I really jealous and didn't really like him. I show teeth whenever he gets near to me.

But he is such a gentle boy, he just like to sleep with me even partition with a glass door... my heart melted by his patient and good temperament and after a week, I have accept him as my pack. Now we sleep, play, eat and even shit together...

Foster Kittens:

Coco and Mimi
They were found in a store abandoned by the mother, they were bottle feed for few weeks and foster under my shelter for few mths. It is really hard for me to accept cats as my friends, but I just fed up with their stubborn characters, so I choose to just ignore them.

Spider

Love to climb on anything just like a spider man. Once, he felt down from my brother playpen he then turn to be a good boy after the lesson.

Jerry

A most naughtiest kitten foster in my shelter before and even drop in drain twice, his color just look like the cartoon character Jerry. That is
how he gets his temporary name.

Fifi

Probably I like her most because she is very quiet and never irritate me.

Foster puppies:

pup #1 He has a special black face, quiet guy. No comments on him.

Very cheerful guy after first bath, but his leg injure when time found him in a drain. He was send to a farm with Pup#1 chase the boar right now. They come in a second and they say good bye to me the next day...

pup#3

A girlish beagle looks alike pup but with stomach injured when found. She looks quiet even when times she say good bye to me probably her stomach cause
discomfort to her. She is a pretty girl.

A very naughty guy can not sit

still and just as naughty as pup#5, so they send to same home at the same time.

Fei Chai (Now - GerGer)

Her stomach forever hungry, but she is most beautiful just look alike a Saint Bernard. After bath and hair blow she looks like a panda bear. Wonder how is she right now...

Dusty

The most naughty and cheerful guy so far foster in my shelter before. Scare of nothing. Well, he has a handsome face that melted everybody heart. Besides very noisy at nights, he is good at everything.

A Poodle

I never know her name because her owner use whistle to called her, she likes to run in front my gate few round to let me bark madly on her before she can do her business.

A Silky Terrier

He is my right side neighbour, when his owner put him on leash he will then keep round and round the column so that he makes himself like tight up then he can be release free. What a smart guy.

A Golden Retriever

He is my new neighbour, he stay with the terrier, so far never heard him bark before, I am sure he still miss his mother.. Don't worry puppy, I am here to make some noise for your day...

A Jack Russell Terrier

His legs were short but he can run fast, he stay behind my row, once a while his owner will come over chit chat, I just worry my pack getting bigger and bigger and I will get lesser attention so I just bark them away.. I don't mean to be rude ok.

An American Cocker Spaniel

Hey, he has same color like my brother! But now I selfdom see him again because he likes to sneak out whenever his owners not in, so then now he has to be indoor.

A Mongrel (Darlie) and A Golden Retriever

Darlie got my genes, of cause I have to know his name. Why is her name Darlie? Because her face is half black and another half white. Not attend any ob class before but the most obedient dog in my neighborhood. The Golden is her playmate, a muscular man.

Ok. Mostly all the house here besides dogs, they have cats, I don't really interested on cats so I selfdom pay attention how many of them. As long as they don't jump in my compound and poo here like nobody business; then is fine for me.

(Others)

Frogs

Once a while you can see frogs jumping here and there, once there is white bubbles came out from my mouth, I think I play too rough with him and he was angry and pee on me.

Lizards

I just can not stop my instinct, whenever I saw Lizards I will hunt them with my 2 hands, indoor or outdoor, I can't tolerant Lizards that near by me 2 feet. If they’re smart they better get lost in front of me.

After many rounds on flip catching the ball in air, I try on frisbee and happy she can jump a little bit higher than before, this mongrel not too bad huh...

We are looking some spot for dock diving and found this small pond, quite clean, surprise to see Jojo dare enough to go deeper and we quickly capture down this happy moment...

First bowl - I bought this bowl in Subang Petswonderland, after mentioned I am an owner of mongrel, they leave us alone without further promote their products, anyway I bought 2 of those most expensive bowl I ever bought for my dogs so far, one was being stolen by the rubbish collection men few years back and left only one, however the bottom rubber already torn off.

First Trick - 'Sit' was her first trick, I am so proud of her, I called all my friends came to my house just to show them Jojo can 'sit', she was being command to 'sit' for the whole night..everybody were so impress! Jojo was a big star before...

First Collar - I found her very first collar during cleaning the store, I felt she was so lovely and cute during her puppyhood.

First Toy- I bought a Mcdonal soft squeeze toy for her, she loves the toy so much but once I scolded her because she pees in the living room, she was so upset she destroy the toy under the coffee table.. now, destructive become one of her remark..

First day home - She was just hiding under the coffee table whole night imagine she still a stray outside hiding under the car... up to today, rest under our cars become a habit for her..

First meal - Dumex was her first meal, I am too excited, purposely drove all the way to the 'Kedai Runcit' bought this Dumex for her, but she upset us : she don't even want to take a sip. Then I drove all the way there again bought the puppy Pedigree for her..

First Jab - I found out dog have to be vaccinated after searching through the internet, I brought her to the Louis Animal Clinik in Subang SS14/1 on 11-12-2002, her first trick 'sit' was impress her vet, Dr Simon Louis offer her free de-wormed services. A beautiful memory..

First time sick - Jojo's sick once right after the first jab, she diarrhea during the midnight and cried whole night, I clean her with warm water and she seems to understand and lick my hands just like saying Thank you to me... the feeling just so warm..

First boarding - Jojo was send to Taman Tun a pet shop boarding for reason we have a trip to Penang 4 days 3 nights. During the trip we so miss her, even cut the trip short to only 2 days 1 night then we drove back and got her back.. the time I took her back I am so happy, the feeling just more than travel all the way to Penang..

First outing - We brought her to only near by park, a kid like her very much and she follow that kid run everywhere and forget about us! I am so jeolous I never bring her to the park again after that.. haha.

First trip - Jojo's first time l ong distance travel was- Port Dickson, she so excited and running non stop on the beach, she was on a very long string we modified our own, it is just like flying a kite. She don't even know sea water was salty and she diarrhea few rounds after drank non stop of the sea water.

First time on paper - Jojo's was so lucky she was snap once on Sin Chew Jit Poh during her CGC Mock Trial on Padang Merbok, she still so cool probably she wasn't know she going to get publish on the paper..

Jojo - My big baby... and cute always...

Agility - I don't really like fast sport, I found no meaning behind it.. but anyway I need to please my owner I have to do it, but in my own speed...

Flyball - As I mentioned earlier, I just hate fast sport, but I'm still ok with it since one round then I can get my treats, well, that is fair and square..

Obedience - I found this sport the best suit me, as long as u know few commands and you know how to walk.. you can be an 'Obedient dog', but how obedient you can be.. that is different say.

Protection - I can announce loudly : I'm a good guard dog - for home only.

Fashion Show - Come on.. this is worse, my owner once in a blue moon will like to put some costume on me, I hate it! I am complaining each times but she said I got to work for my own rice bowl.

Fatest Eating - haha, what else can be better then just eat and get rewards? I don't understand why my brother likes to work hard for small little treat.. silly boy.

Tricks - Let me tell you something, every dogs should know some tricks. Just like every human they need some skills. Especially mongrel like me, you can just impress others easily by doing simple tricks.. ok, not too simple.. at least continuously double roll over.

Frisbee - Actually they get me wrong, I don't really like frisbee either, I'm trying to grab it fast and destroy it quick.

Water - Oh no, I'm sorry I can't swim but I enjoy running wild on the beach.. well, at least I am not blocking my owners and brother enjoying their summer swim. However, I am very obey when times really have no choice - bathing time.

Car ride - I enjoy car ride especially you see human walking outside and you are sitting inside yet faster than them. But my owners claim that not only my character stubborn, my fur too.. they said too difficult to vacuum after me. I think they are just too much complaints.

Photography -

This is something to do with obedient, you just need to learnt 'stay' then you are photogenic. Simple!

Games - Sometimes you just need to learnt some games to cheer your human, like seek and hide, chase and run, fetching .. you see , when they miss their childhood and they shy to play in public, so you just need to help them sometimes..

Health - If you are multi talented dog and yet everyday you need to visit vets, that is pointless, keeping a healthy body is our priority, so? Start your engine now and... RUNNNN...!!

How my bond with doggie being started..

Jojo was adopted in Dec Year 2002, when I found her in an abandon state, scary and cold by the roadside hiding under a car. At that time, I know nothing about dogs. I never had any knowledge about keeping a dog, but the first sight on her, she look so cute despite she being scared n cold, I fell in love with her I carried her into my car and drove her back with exciting mood, yelling loudly when I reach home: ” See, See what I have!” I was so happy and was jumping with excitement.

The first thing I did was to shower her with warm water. I did not even know how to bath a dog, that was my first time and I learned that to shower a dog, we have to be careful not to wet their nose. From that day onwards, I have a new life....

What dogs attracts us, are not just their cute face, but also their behavior and the character. The time I spend with Jojo together is just indescribable, joyful and memorable. I know a dog‘s life span is approximately 15 human years and I want Jojo to live happily as long as she is with me. I will let her explore as much as she can by bringing her to the beach, play in the mud, jungle trekking, car ride, pet exhibitions and many other events that can be available.

If you have a Mongrel at home, please treat them as equally as Pedigree dogs, don't feel shameful bringing them out to join the pet exhibitions. Let them social around and you will soon find out that they are just as lovely as Pedigree dogs. Give them a chance, let them show their talents to you!
